All my life I wanted to be someone else. I wanted to be the girls I see on the streets and the girls I look over on Instagram. I obviously stalk them to death (no shame) but I realized that in doing so, I was losing myself. I was adding layers that weren’t me.
I take a good look at myself and really want to manifest a change in my life, so I want to dedicate this moment and time to evaluate what is important to me. Other than my friends, family, and hashtags to all the significant others, I want to do something that matters!
I want to create a life source (I am not talking about having a baby) that connects everyone.
That my friends, is my goal. That is also why I started this blog. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF DOING THINGS BECAUSE IT’S ON TREND, IT’S WHAT EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING, NO, LET’S DO IT BECAUSE IT MATTERS! Sorry, I didn’t mean to yell it out, but it needs to be said.
So, welcome to 2018 my friends.
I am a shopaholic! I live beyond my means and it is long overdue for a change. I shop at least 3 or 4 times a month and spend approximately $200-$500. For many of you it might not be a lot but as for me, I think that is a lot of unnecessary purchases. I, however, did buy this beautiful velvet blue coat from H&M for $15 and I promise that is all I will be buying for this month! No, I don’t think I’ll be able to completely cut myself down from my addiction, but I will budget myself on going shopping only once and spending only $60 a month or buy 1 must have item. Whenever I buy a new item, I must make a decision to donate something else. I commit to this because I believe it matters. It matters to be a sustainable soul. For those of you who wants to buy less and carry on to live a sustainable lifestyle, I highly recommend only buying things that will last you for a long time. QUALITY BEFORE QUANTITY.
VELVET BLUE BLAZER – I found almost exactly the same one.
BOOTS – I got my boots from Cos but Everlane has great selections.
